Let's talk about ADHD and how it impacts the success of your child.

Do some of the following relate to how you feel?

  • Overwhelmed in an IEP meeting as many in the team explain what your child needs?
  • Frustrated as you try to understand each section of the IEP
  • Unsure if the services are meeting the IEP goals?
  • Not feeling that there is enough communication between school and home?
  • Sometimes behaviors get in the way of success in our kids with ADHD. Does your child need a behavior plan, how would this be evaluated.
  • If your child has a behavior plan, are you sure that it is effective?
  • Many times, kids with ADHD have co-existing learning disabilities. Do you know how to ensure the process of discovering more data around a learning difference?
  • Have you requested services from the school only to be told, "we don't do that here," 'Let's give it time."
  • Are you doing homework for your child so that he/she doesn't spend hours or because he/she doesn't understand how to proceed or can't because of impulsivity or inattention?
