PARENT COACHING

IMAGINE THIS:

  • Feeling confident in your parenting approach, even when facing the challenges of raising a child with ADHD or other learning differences.

  • Knowing how to set boundaries, encourage positive behavior, and foster emotional resilience in your child.

  • Having a structured plan to support your child’s academic, social, and emotional growth—without feeling overwhelmed.

WHAT WE CAN DO TOGETHER:

We’ll explore how your child’s unique strengths and challenges impact their behavior, learning, and emotional well-being. Understanding their needs is the first step toward effective parenting.

📢 COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES:
Learn how to improve communication with your child—whether it’s managing emotional outbursts, setting clear expectations, or building a stronger connection.

⚖️ DISCIPLINE WITH PURPOSE:
Discover practical and compassionate discipline strategies that encourage responsibility and self-regulation without damaging self-esteem.

🎯 ADVOCACY & SUPPORT:
Whether it’s working with teachers, therapists, or other professionals, we’ll ensure you have the tools to advocate for your child’s success in school and beyond.

🛠 SELF-CARE FOR PARENTS:
Parenting is demanding—especially when supporting a child with additional needs. We’ll focus on reducing stress, setting realistic expectations, and maintaining balance in your own life.

Hi!  My name is Karen Lowry.

My first job as a young master-prepared RN showed me the way as I dealt with critically ill kids and their families.

When there is a need to intervene for a child, there is also that need to support the family.  I did
this as an RN and now as a Master IEP Coach for families with kids with ADHD.  This part of
my journey of the past ten years comes from my own personal experience with my youngest
son.  Navigating the education system and effectively advocating for your child is intimidating
without support.

ADHD is misunderstood and invisible; a disability that carries with it many executive
functioning deficits and behaviors that many believe can be controlled by the child.

I am passionate about helping families understand unique and often misunderstood challenges of
ADHD and transferring this knowledge to effective advocacy for success and a healthy self-
esteem.
